10 days till 70

Joe spent the day getting the boat in the water...I spent the day cleaning the house, gardening and going to the dentist..not so good for relationship but good for getting done what we each needed to do...He is very proud of the way he did the boat..painting, cleaning and launching...and I am just happy to have the herbs all planted and one tomato plant in...cleaned the dining room...really working hard on dejunking...one thing about being almost 70 is everything in the house has a history...or is  something you just like...This house will never be featured in better homes and gardens...but I sure would like it to be easier to clean...so if I throw 2 things away each day it helps...especially if it actually gets thrown away and not just moved from one space to another...left overs for supper tonight..still really delicious...did all the vases in the dishwasher...wow..that new finish detergent really works great...or maybe it is the new washer,,everything is sparkling clean.
Join a crochet block of the month club at the local knit shop...I like it ...as it is also making something for the future..but think I will stop by tomorrow or over the weekend to see if they have something more advances...sitting with all the women and crocheting is a great way of making new friends too...I congered up this wonder memory of my mother sitting in our den and crocheting beautiful edges on linen handkerchief's for the teacher's presents...it was so clear..I even remembered the hole in the couch's arm that was made by a sharp object from one of us kids ...and the couch was a golden yellow but i couldn't remember the color of the chair...maybe red or wine colored...I wonder if my sister will remember..or if she was too young...We are all that is left to remember...not that the chair or the color is important..the memory of my mom is the best...she was a great crocheter and crochet each of my children an afghan when they went to college..
