A very rainy day...did the laundry and really cleaned up the downstairs...no hint of our moving from Arizona to here...Everything is in its right place and I am content with the cleaned counters and dining room table...Bought flowers to grace the table...went to vote..just local school vote...but happy to make education my priority and vote to pass the budget...We did have 6 children go through the school system...and they got an exemplary education...paying it forward..then went and had a manicure...the gardening left my nails broken and ragged..a quick trip to the grocery store..and home to cook dinner...fresh flounder. One thing you don't get in Arizona is fresh flounder ...It was delicious...Went to sisterhood book swap and Shavuot services with my friend, Nadine. The women next to me commented on how much she likedmy voice and enjoyed praying next to me. I love to sing praises to G-d but am more conscience of not carrying a tune well then of singing well...also felt Guilty that I haven't accepted the invitation to sing with the choir here and in Arizona...I know that when I sing near someone who is carrying the tune I sing well..but on my own I can't stay on tune...it is frustrating because I so enjoy it, but am always worried I will hit a sour note...I was very touch by her sharing...and told her so. Came home with a few good reads..and some books for Nathaniel. Can't wait to read "Tiki Tiki Tembo" to him.
