one week and a day until I am 70

Great day at the beach with our oldest daughter and her family...husband and 7 year old son...I always dread the first few visits to the beach house as I have to clean all the winter dust dirt and bugs away...I must have seen a dozen spiders..daddy long legs mostly...but the fact that the refrigerator was clean and didn't need a ton of work...and the stove only a minimal amount of scrubbing..made the day so much easier..I steam cleaned the floor with a new steamer i got at a yard sale earlier in the day and it came away so beautiful...not to mention that lobsters were 6$ a lb and I made a great tomato and basil and mozzarella cheese salad , corn on the cob, fresh fruit salad and asparagus to go with them..what a feast...and little effort...just boil...or slice..
Ian has grown so since we saw him last..and was so much fun..taking pictures, building sandcastles, rowing with Joe..made all Joe's work worthwhile too...having the boats in the water is always an added plus to summer fun...and it was such a fabulous day...sunshine little breeze and no bugs..great conversation, great hugs...we came home tired , and content...so nice
Was wished a happy birthday...but like no big deal..makes me wonder if it is only me that feels this is a special milestone...maybe I shouldn't worry so much about the next week or so and just enjoy each day...
