Woke up feeling fabulous, so I went downstairs and enjoyed the newspaper and a cup of coffee on the patio..It is a pleasure to sit out their as it looks so nice...made Joe and I special omelets with fresh basil and tomatoes for breakfast and then the two of us tackled the weeds in the garden walkway...I for an hour Joe for hours...It does look great now...only a little more to do..
I bought some impatient plants in the shady area. After a quick shower I went to play bridge...I was really down as my sister called and said that she couldn't come for my birthday because she had pneumonia...so It really was nice that my friends had bought me a birthday cake to celebrate with...strawberry short cake with real whipped cream...after bridge I went to the garden center for more flowers and to the store to buy steaks for dinner..as I needed a quick cooked dinner as I played mah jongg tonight as a substitute for a friend,,,won 4 times..It was almost embarrassing as I was the quest and I took all their money. It was a great day...worked and played with my honey and with friends.
