70th celebration

Well I made it ..hard to believe I am really 70 years old..I really do not feel the way I thought a 70 year old would feel...I have a bit of arthritis , so some aches and pains but thank G-d I still feel very much like I did when I was 50...and I still love to have fun and do new things....my birthday was a great day with all the children , and friends calling in to send good wishes...went to a party at friends that was not a birthday celebration..but a nice time was had...On Monday, Joe and I drove to Atlantic City...We stopped at the Downbeach deli in Margate for breakfast..I love their white fish sandwich...then we checked in at Bally's...I ask for an up grade it being my birthday and all...and we were given a gorgeous room with a huge king size bed...a Cleopatra type couch in a sitting area with a table and a desk...and a very beautiful bathroom with a fabulous shower...We walked the boardwalk and checked out the new shops on the pier near Ceasar's and ate dinner in a little Irish pub...They had a fabulous goat cheese and beet salad...It was fun and Delicious and a very youthful atmosphere...and of course I gambled some and Joe a little....won a nice jackpot that kept me going all the next day...Tuesday, Joe woke me up with a bicycle built for 2 that he rented and we biked the entire boardwalk from one end to the other and back...then we had breakfast at Taj Mahal and I gambled and Joe lay on the beach for a while...We walked back to Bally's and showered and dressed for the day...walked more , gambled some, made love...I teased Joe about doing it with an old lady now...and went to the Tropicana for Carmines Clambake special...We had this huge Caesar salad, two lobsters, a dozen baked clams, mussels and lots of veggies, and potatoes....It was a fabulous meal...Joe gave our leftovers to one of the homeless on the boardwalk( I hope he was a vegetarian because that is all we had left.)...and we gambled some more and walked back to Bally's...lots of exercise so I didn't have to feel guilty about enjoying all the rich delicious food...I won another little jackpot..$70.70...I thought that was very providential...Today we slept in and left about 11am for home...It took us about 4 hours and I was just tired from the tension of driving, and there was a horrific accident on the Belt Parkway...so I opted out of mahjongg and we ate sandwiches, caught up with the mail...and was so excited to find a magnificent bouquet of yellow roses and other assorted beautiful flowers from my kids in Kentucky waiting on the front porch.. and watched old movies on Turner Classic movies...Gilda with Rita Hayworth, it was so fantastic...
