Tomorrow is the big day

Missed yesterday...first day I actually felt 70...babysat our precious little Nathaniel...had to function at 6am and still go out to dinner and to temple without a nap....I must admit by 6pm I was dragging...but oh what a wonderful day we had...Joe actually took Nathaniel to the park while I stole time for a shower and time to get dressed...He actually shared that he never did that with his kids...or any of the other grand kids...the two of them have such a special relationship...they both light up when they see each other. I got to read stories and play language games and watch Barney and best of all take him for a walk to see the ducks and around the block...He actually fell asleep in the stroller and napped for about a half hour.  He was really a joy...but I couldn't blog last night because I was almost asleep when we got home from temple.
The birthday cards are coming in and every time I see a 70 on them I am in disbelief...It has always sounded so old..and thank G-d I still feel very young....I think one of my goals for the coming year is to try to do something I have a passion for at least once a week...I believe it is the passion in what we do that keeps us excited and engaged in living a full and joy filled life.  Today will be a catch up day as both of us are recuperating form our very active, long day yesterday...a little gardening, the wash...and of course we yard saled...2 fabulous finds...2 Adirondack folding chairs, both for 8 dollars..the cheapest I have seen them is 40$ each...and three pillows that say Merry Christmas on one side and, Happy Hanukkah on the other...and they were25 cents each...perfect for us as we celebrate both holidays out of respect for each other.

  1. You are as young and vivacious as you have ever been. I think you are absolutely remarkable. I've never seen another person in my life filled with such zeal for life! I'm proud to call you my cousin and I have a lot to learn from you.
